    50-WATT SQUARE PANEL SYSTEM

    50-watt PV panel with MPPT custom programmed boost solar controller for 48V Li Ion Battery + wiring + hand assembled connections for Thrust E-Bikes - $1,395.00* + shipping and handling

  • This unit if mounted permanently on the rear bin top, it could continuously charge the 48 Volt battery as long as the panel is in direct sun and the solar panel/charge controller are plugged into the battery. Note: The Thrust Battery has two connectors - one for charging and the other for supplying power to the load so it is possible to solar charge the Thrust 48V battery at the same time that you are using it to power the Thrust E-bike.
  • You will need two solar charging systems if you want to solar charge two Thrust 48V batteries at the same time.
  • It is possible to have two or more 50W panels (up to five in series) feeding one solar charge controller for solar charging one Thrust 48V battery in less time compared to one 50W panel.
  • Your cost for a two 50W panel system with one charge controller would be $1,820,00 and could have a MSRP of $2,195.00 + shipping and handling. Cost increases $645.00 (+ shipping and handling) for each panel added to the system array.

  • If this unit is mounted permanently as a canopy over the top of the bike and the rear bin top, it could continuously charge the 48 Volt battery as long as the panel is in direct sun and the solar panel/charge controller are plugged into the battery. Note: The Thrust Battery has two connectors - one for charging and the other for supplying power to the hub motor load so it is possible to solar charge the Thrust 48V battery at the same time that you are using it to power the Thrust E-bike.

  • We are continuously searching for more efficient and lighter panels and smarter charge controllers.
  • We actually have located a better MPPT charge controller that is used by the DOD, but it is about $1,000 more costly that the one we are currently using.
  • We plan to contact this OEM to see if they can get their price down to what we are now paying.
  • All of the charge controller products are USA-designed, all panels are sourced from USA companies, but all of the products have foreign content.

  • Allow two weeks for delivery if we have the units in stock and four to six weeks if we have to order stock in.
